What color and shape are you? No two pieces are identical. God has created you to reflect His glory in a way that only you can! Embrace your differentness as a unique way for God to express Himself.
Some people are always trying to make themselves nothing. This is a misunderstanding of Scripture. There is a self that we must die to (the sin nature) but there is a self that we are called to put on and live out of (Ephesians 4:22-24). The new nature is our most true identity (Romans 7:17; Romans 7:22; Romans 7:25). Sanctification is learning to move toward and live out of the "real you." God wants to shine through your special shape and color. Allow Him to do it!Blessings,

ReplyDeleteThis post reminds me of the verse: Rom. 12:3 "Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought", meaning don't think too high or low of ourselves, just truthfully, knowing we are incredibly valuable to God!

Yes! And I always thought "sober" in Romans 12:3 meant "serious," like negative. But it actually means "impartial" just like you said! That means that if we are an incredibly beautiful piece of glass (which you ARE), then it is OK to recognize and enjoy that. Much different than the pride that comes from insecurity and self-loathing.
